🪅About Me
Let’s start with the basics: My name is Xiadani, I was born in Mexico in 1993. I’m the person behind this brand — I basically handle everything, from the illustrations to the creation of most of the products you see here. Since 2015, I’ve been turning my ideas into things full of color, cuteness, and nostalgia. This little creative corner is my way of connecting with myself… and with those who resonate with what I make.
🌱How It All Started
My creative journey began over a decade ago, but it was in 2015 when I took the first step to share what I made with the world. At first, I had no idea what shape it would take — and that showed in the names I used over time: Kibalicius, Moshi O, Xirei… until one day, jelou xiani simply felt like home.
Each stage reflected who I was at the time, and that’s why I look back at them fondly — they were versions of me that needed to exist.
🎨What I Do & What Inspires Me
At jelou xiani, I create things that combine illustration with handmade details: stickers, prints, notebooks, accessories, unique (and sometimes odd) little pieces — but always made with love.
I’m not sure if I have a specific style yet, but I like using lots of color, and sometimes mixing in spooky stuff.
I’m inspired by many things: my emotions, nostalgia, what I listen to while I create, and that feeling of wanting to save something beautiful before it disappears.
Kiba, my dog, was also a huge source of love and companionship along the way. Even though she’s no longer with me physically, she’s still a part of everything I do — and you can see her presence when I use clouds in my art.
💖What I Want to Share
What matters most to me is that what I create has soul. That anyone who receives something from jelou xiani feels a connection — like it’s a little companion for their everyday life.
🌈Looking Toward the Future
My dream is to keep growing this brand, to reach more people who appreciate things made from the heart, and hopefully one day build and share a community.
I’d also love to explore new formats, collaborate with other creatives, and take this little universe I’m building to new places… always staying true to emotion and honesty.
🗿A Bit More About Me
I now live in Chile, in the company of Lyva, Loki, and my hubby, who are always close by while I draw, design, or create new things — and with a bit more distance, my family, especially my mom.
I have a big sweet tooth, especially for lemon pie. I collect anime figures from series I love like Cardcaptor Sakura and Fullmetal Alchemist, and records from my favorite group, SHINee.
When it comes to movies, horror is my go-to genre — even if they all feel the same lately. As for TV shows, I watch a bit of everything, as long as it keeps me intrigued and wanting to know what happens next.
🐾Things I Don’t Like
It’s not all sugar and glitter. There are just some things I can’t deal with — and I think they’re part of who I am, too:
♪ That sticky summer heat (I’m team autumn-winter)
♪ Huge crowds
♪ When ideas hit me right as I’m about to sleep
♪ The printer failing when I have an order
♪ Having to decide what to eat every day
These things make me mad, laugh, or sad depending on the day. But even they end up being a little inspiring.
I live between to-do lists and horror/gossip playlists — and even if I’m a bit chaotic, everything has its magic.
